Onumba.com, Nigeria ——-Yul Edochie, last child of veteran actor Pete Edochie, has finally spoken about the ongoing issue surrounding his marriage during a recent interview on the The Honest Bunch Podcast.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, the podcast announced that Yul Edochie would finally speak about his marriage problems in an interview that was released the next day by 6:00 PM. The news quickly caused reactions online, as many Nigerians expected him to finally explain what really happened between him and his ex wife, May Edochie.
The excitement around the interview was similar to what happened during the KAA Podcast some months ago, where many people also expected Yul to reveal hidden truths about his marriage. But once again, Nigerians did not get the answers they were expecting.
For about three years now, the issue between Yul Edochie and May Edochie has remained one of the biggest celebrity discussions online. Unlike other celebrity problems that people forget after some time, this issue has continued to stay in public discussion.
May Nation collides with Judy Warriors
Supporters of May Edochie, known as the May Nation, have continued to fight online with supporters of Yul and his current wife, Judy Austin, who are called the Judy Warriors. These two groups have remained against each other since the marriage issue became public.
The marriage reportedly ended in 2023 when Yul introduced Judy Austin as his second wife and announced their child online. Since then, May Edochie has remained mostly silent about the issue. The only public statement she made was under Yul’s post, where she wrote, “May God judge you both.”
During the interview, Yul said Nigerians insulting him online do not know the full story behind the marriage problem. According to him, real men do not bring family matters online for public discussion.
Yul still not revealing cause of divorce
Even after several questions from the interviewers, Yul still refused to explain what truly caused the end of the marriage. In his words, “Gist dey. Me and May know the issues that led to many things. But still, I wish her all the best.”
One of the interviewers then asked if he was comfortable being seen as the villain by many Nigerians. Yul replied that he did not mind.
The discussion later moved to monogamy and polygamy, where Yul said monogamy was an idea brought by white men. Many Nigerians have criticized him for this before, saying a man should clearly tell a woman from the beginning if he wants a polygamous marriage.
Yul silent on whether he informed May before bringing Judy into their home
An interviewer later asked if he informed May before marrying Judy Austin, but Yul once again avoided the question. He replied, “That’s a very good question, but I am not going to answer it. Meanwhile, the story may soon take another turn, as Mr. Obasi, the ex husband of Judy Austin, recently said on Facebook that he is ready to share his own side of the story.
