Onumba.com,USA ——— It’s safe to bet that Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers sent Nicki Minaj a thank you note for taking time out to urge voters to support him last week.
Too bad he isn’t even sure of securing her own vote.
Why?
Minaj is not a United States citizen —– maybe not yet —– according to public reports.
The saga concerning her citizenship status is zigzagging all over the map.
She was not a U.S. citizen in 2024, that much we do know.
“I am not a US citizen. Isn’t that crazy,” she said, back then.
Not really. A lot of immigrants are not U.S. citizens. You are just one them. Why would yours be crazy?
Minaj, who was born in Trinidad, was a longtime green card holder, but eventually decided to pursue her citizenship, though there’s no public information yet to confirm her current status.
But following an appearance with Trump in January, 2026, she posted on X:
“Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak.”
Notwithstanding that declaration, it remains unclear if she is now a United States citizen.
Meanwhile, Minaj and President Trump shared the stage last week at a Michigan rally to support Republican Senate Candidate Mike Rogers who is in a cliffhanger battle against Democratic rival Abdul El-Sayed.
There, Trump circled back to something akin to his viral “grab them by the pu**y” remarks from a few years ago —— with the crowd cheering at a comment that wasn’t funny for most of the country.
First, he made a tacky remark about Ohio Senator Jon Husted’s ass before turning to Minaj.
“By the way, I’ve looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before,” the president said, looking and pointing at her.
Prominent Trump critics had a blast roasting him.
Editor-in-Chief Ron Filipkowski wrote on X, “so Trump’s closing argument is that Jon Husted has a nice ass, but not quite as good as Nicki Minaj’s ass.”
George Conway, a front-line Trump critic, joked:
“Ass not what you can do for your country —- ass what you can do for @realDonaldTrump.”
