If the media won’t tell my story, I’ll do it myself.

That appears to be just how President Trump is doubling down on his escalating feud with the press.

Recall that Trump recently lashed out at the media by imposing a White House ban on outlets he accuses of pushing negative and inaccurate reporting of his administration. He calls it ‘fake news.’ But he went further than that, revoking the White House access credentials involving journalists working for CNN, MS NOW and Politico and triggering a brawl that has now widened in scope, deepened in intensity and carrying legal ramifications.

The three media organizations have filed a lawsuit against Trump in a Washington DC court, claiming a violation of their First Amendment Right.

How that’s going to play out is now anybody’s guess.

But if Trump believed for one New York second that his draconian press ban would stoke a clash confined only to CNN, MS NOW and Politico, he was hugely mistaking.

Now, four other media juggernauts —— ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News —— have plunged into the deepening fracas, pretty much declaring from the rooftop that tossing out blood brothers of CNN, MS NOW and Politico is tantamount to firing off a volley of salvos on all of us.

And it’s not all rodomont, either.

The fallout of Trump’s ill-advised move was in colorful display Monday after the White House pool of reporters refused to cover the unveiling of new White House helipad. Trump’s speech during the ribbon cutting ceremony was largely muffled after his voice was not picked up by the usual garland of microphones typically setup to soak up the president’s speech for national distribution.

And boy, that was when everything flipped on its head real quick.

Now, he is pissed off.

Hopping mad.

In a bold, unexpected response, the president launched ‘Trump TV’ to stream on YouTube to cover his own White House events.
